MARTIN, Tennessee – University of Tennessee at Martin’s Chief Golf Coach Austin swafford has secured national letters of intent for three talented freshmen as Luke Caldwell, Dax Isbell and Rocco Zakutney will join the Skyhawks next season.

The trio will be part of a booming UT Martin program that has won two of the last five Ohio Valley Conference championships, including the 2021 title under Swafford. The Skyhawks have put together a dominant stretch that includes 23 tag team tournament wins, 21 individual tournament medalists and 16 All-OVC artists since his debut championship season in 2015-16.

“We are extremely excited about each of these three young men,” Swafford said. “Their resumes are all impressive as they have each played in several high quality junior golf events and this experience will allow them to compete immediately. They all have characteristics about them on and off the course that have us scored when we recruited them. Luke has some of the best behavior on the golf course I have ever seen in a junior player. Dax has the ability to come down as evidenced by his scores from last season. Ethics Rocco’s workmanship is second to none and he will continue to elevate his game. We are grateful that they have chosen UT Martin and we believe these three players will fit into our culture perfectly. It is a great day for Skyhawk Golf .
