Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – For their final event of the season, the University of Minnesota Women’s Golf Team will take on their conference rivals in the Big Ten Championship. The three-day event will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The 54-hole tournament will give a team a shot at winning a Big Ten Championship title. Teams will play one round each day of the weekend, starting on Friday and ending on Sunday. Minnesota’s lone victory came in 1989, with Kate Hughes earning individual medalist honors. It was the last time a gopher claimed that honor.
Fox Chapel Golf Club is hosting the event after TPC River’s Bend hosted the event from 2017 to 2021. Michigan State will defend its 2021 victory, which was the last time the tournament was played, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ohio State won the tournament in 2019.
