Looking to get out and hit the Links while supporting one of Coronado’s local sports teams? Then maybe the Islanders’ First Annual Golf Tournament is the event for you.
Typically, for the past few years, the Islander baseball program has hosted an alumni game for fundraising, but due to renovations taking place this winter at Islander Sandlot, a game will not be possible.
The tournament will take place on December 30 at the Coronado Municipal Golf Course, with a tee time to be determined until we get closer to the tournament. The registration fee will be $ 125 and will be used to pay for your green fees, your cart, your stand balls, your drink tokens and your appetizers after the round, a raffle ticket and a small donation to the program. Islanders baseball itself.
The tournament will be a two-man scramble format, and if you don’t have a partner that’s okay as there will be more than a lot of people who can be matched with you.
The tournament will also feature a host of games and prizes along the way, such as longest drive, closest to pin, longest putt, putting contest, lowest overall score and even a prize for the best team outfit.
After golf, there will be a raffle to win prizes from local businesses in Coronado.
“We are thrilled with the tournament and appreciate any support from the community,” Islander Baseball Varsity head coach Morgan Cummins said.

The last day to register will be December 6.
