Brunei Wins Kadayan SeBorneo Golf Tournament Team Title

KUCHING (October 25): Brunei won the Kadayan SeBorneo Golf Tournament team title with a total gross score of 881.

The team received RM3,000, a trophy and the Datuk Rosman Isli Challenge Trophy.

Brunei’s Seruji Setia recently won the tournament raw title at Kelab Golf Sarawak.

He posted a par 77 five to beat Sarawak’s Mohamad Lokman Mustaffa by three strokes, while in third place was Brunei’s Omar Asmat with an 83.

The net title went to Jumat Muhi of Sarawak who scored a three under 69 followed by Dany Karim of Brunei and Arni Yahya of Sarawak with scores of 70 and 71 respectively.

Meanwhile, the open raw title was won by Sarawak’s Lee Kah Ming who posted a 79, while the top three winners in the open net category were Magit Semong (70 OCB), Andrew Ngisun (70) and Choo Kueh Fong (70) .

The senior net winner was Adnan Amba of Sabah, whose score was 71, while a shot behind him in second place was Alias ​​Mail of Sarawak and in third place was Wahap Gani with 77.

As for the novelty prizes, the winner of the longest route was Adam Farihan Yasin (273m) and Sarian Shah (266m), the closest to pin were Zehegkiel Piree (8ft), Mohamad Lokman Mustaffa (1ft ), Andrew Ngisin (18 feet 4 inches), and Wasip Malik (8 feet).

Mohamad Lokman also picked up another bullseye award and the winners closest to the line were Zaharuddin Sabang (11 inches) and Rasyid Mayang (7 inches).

Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship Development II Dr. Ripin Lamat presented the awards on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

The tournament organized by Persatuan Golf Kedayan Sarawak attracted 98 golfers from the Kedayan Golf Associations of Sabah, Brunei, Labuan and Sarawak.
