British Open 2022 standings: Live coverage, golf scores today, Rory McIlroy scores in round 4 at St. Andrews

The final round of the major finals of the 2022 golf season is officially upon us, and it looks like we’re about to end in style at the historic 150th Open Championship. With Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland in the lead and plenty of chasers including Cameron Smith, Cameron Young, Scottie Scheffler and Dustin Johnson, Sunday’s final 18 holes at the Old Course in St. Andrews could be an all-time finish.

McIlroy and Hovland will form the final couple on Sunday after providing drama in the penultimate game of Saturday’s round. The two shot a matching 66-under 66 to move to 16-under, which puts them four shots from the field as co-leaders. McIlroy is looking to earn a second Claret Jug – and his first major since 2014 – as he attempts to hold off an eventual major winner at Hovland with a handful of tough competitors, all within six shots of the top. .

With a star-studded field at the top of the standings, St. Andrews serving as a historic backdrop and the pressure given it is the last major of the year, the 150th Open has already been a memory.
